What is the eligibility requirements for SINP?

The Saskatchewan PNP, also known as the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), was created in 1998 with the intention of using immigration to meet the needs of the province’s economy and labor market. Due to the program’s standing as an approachable provincial nominee program (PNP), Saskatchewan has become a well-liked spot for immigrants. This impression is a result of the wide variety of immigration possibilities accessible to applicants under the program.

A considerable advantage is provided by receiving a nomination from a strengthened provincial program connected to the Express Entry system. It gives applicants an extra 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, all but ensuring that they would receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. Furthermore, the candidate’s Express Entry profile is used to acquire the nomination.

Candidates who get a provincial nomination must submit a direct application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), even though the majority of Saskatchewan’s subcategories function as base streams and are not coordinated with the Express Entry system.

Streams for Saskatchewan Immigration:

There are four routes you can take if you want to immigrate to Saskatchewan:
  • International Skilled Worker Category
  • Saskatchewan Experience Category
  • Entrepreneur and Farm Category
  • International Graduate Entrepreneur Category
The International Skilled Worker Category of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is designed for skilled workers who desire to establish their residence and employment in Saskatchewan.

The Saskatchewan Experience Category, also part of the SINP, caters to foreign workers who are already residing in Saskatchewan. This category includes individuals holding valid work permits as well as international graduates.

The Entrepreneur and Farm Category of the SINP is tailored for individuals aspiring to own and actively operate a business or a farming operation within Saskatchewan.

For international students graduating from an eligible post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan with a plan to start a business in the province, the International Graduate Entrepreneur Category offers a suitable pathway for immigration through the SINP.

To be eligible for nomination you must meet the criteria of the SINP criteria:

The eligibility criteria for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) vary depending on the specific category and pathway within the program. Here are some general eligibility requirements for the SINP:
  • Candidates must provide proof of language proficiency in either English or French, as per the minimum language requirements set by the SINP. This is typically demonstrated through approved language tests such as IELTS or CELPIP for English and TEF for French. An applicant must score more than or equal to CLB 5 though the requirement may vary from stream to stream or profile to profile.
  • Some pathways require candidates to have a valid job offer from a Saskatchewan employer. The job offer must meet certain criteria, including being in an eligible occupation and meeting wage and employment standards.
  • Applicants must have the necessary education and qualifications to perform their intended occupation in Saskatchewan. This typically involves having a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate equivalent to Canadian standards.
  • You need a minimum of 60 points to apply.
  • Applicants must have a genuine intention to live and work in Saskatchewan and must demonstrate their commitment to establishing themselves in the province.
  • Depending on the pathway, candidates must have relevant work experience in a skilled occupation. The required work experience may vary from one category to another.
