Ontario Issued 1,061 Invitations to Tech and Health Professionals in the targeted draw

On July 20, 2023, the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) conducted two draws targeting Tech workers and Health occupations. A total of 1,061 immigrants were invited under Ontario Express Entry’s Human Capital Priority Stream. These draws were specifically aimed at individuals who had created profiles in the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) Express Entry System between July 20, 2022, and July 20, 2023. Notification of Interest (NOI) was extended to Tech and Healthcare Immigrants with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging from 458 to 462.

Stream: Human Capital Priority Stream (Tech Draw)
Number of Invitations Issued: 902
CRS Score Range: 458 – 462
Profile Submission in-between: July 20, 2022 – July 20, 2023

Tech Candidates who had work experience in the following NOCs were given the invite:
  • NOC 20012 – Computer and information systems managers
  • NOC 21211 – Data Scientists
  • NOC 21223 – Database analysts and data administrators
  • NOC 21230 – Computer systems developers and programmers
  • NOC 21231 – Software engineers and designers
  • NOC 21232 – Software developers and programmers
  • NOC 21233 – Web designers
  • NOC 21234 – Web developers and programmers
  • NOC 21311 – Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)

CRS Score Range: 458 – 462

Frequently Asked Questions

To be eligible for Ontario Express Entry’s Human Capital Priority Stream, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Have a valid profile in the Express Entry pool.
  • Qualify under either the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) programs.
  • Express an interest in immigrating to Ontario or “All Provinces and Territories” in their Express Entry profile.
Additional Criteria:

Work Experience: Possess at least one year of work experience, as per the requirements of the FSW program or the CEC standards, within the past five years.

Education: Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Language Proficiency: Attain a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 7 in either English or French.

CRS Score: Obtain a minimum CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score as determined by Ontario for each round of invitations.

To apply for Ontario Express Entry’s Human Capital Priority Stream, follow these steps:
  • Confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria for Express Entry.
  • Register and create a profile in the IRCC’s Express Entry System.
  • If you receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) through the Human Capital Priority Stream, submit your application within 45 calendar days from the date of receiving the NOI.
  • Along with your application, make the required payment of the application fee ($1500).
